Introducing Ellie

Hello, I’m Ellie and I’m very excited to be joining the team at O-health.

I’m originally from Edinburgh in Scotland. I lived there until 2018 when I decided to move here to Albury. The decision wasn’t entirely my own, I met my partner in Edinburgh who was raised here in Albury. We decided together to come back to Australia for the next stage of our lives.

I graduated in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Since then, I have worked in a huge variety of settings whilst going through hospital and community rotations. I found my passion working with people who have musculoskeletal conditions. I have particularly enjoyed helping people rehabilitate towards their goals with a combination of hands on techniques and exercise.

I qualified as a clinical Pilates instructor in 2017 and have found the principles of core and pelvic stability training in rehabilitation to be a brilliant way to improve strength and flexibility. Mr Pilates himself said, “Change happens through movement and movement heals”. This is the approach I have adopted in my practice as a Physiotherapist.

I’m always looking to learn from my colleagues around me and participate in courses whenever I can.

Outside of Physiotherapy I enjoy playing hockey. I play for the Falcons Hockey Club, and I am proud to say I was part of the team that won the division 1 league last season. I love being outdoors doing things like camping, running and walking. Albury and its surrounding areas are the perfect setting to get active outdoors!
