If you’ve been feeling different in your body lately – lower energy, changes in strength, weight, sleep, or recovery – you’re not imagining it.

A lot of this lines up with what’s happening through perimenopause and menopause. The challenge is, it’s not always explained in a way that helps you adjust what you’re doing.

Most women are left trying to figure this stage out on their own – through bits of advice, social media, or trial and error.

At O-health, we see this every day.

What’s often missing isn’t effort – it’s clear, evidence-based insight into what’s actually happening in the body, and what to do next.
This session is designed to give you that clarity.

You’ll hear from a GP, physiotherapist, and Strength & Rehab coach as we break down:
• What’s normal during perimenopause and menopause – and what’s not
• When to seek medical support, and what options are available (including MHT)
• How menopause impacts strength, bone health, metabolism, and long-term function
• What type of exercise actually works – and what doesn’t
• How to approach this stage with a clear, practical plan

This isn’t about generic advice.
It’s about helping you understand your body, so you can make confident decisions about your health moving forward.

What makes this event different?

Most menopause events focus on information, this session gives you insight into your own body.

On the night, you’ll have the option to complete simple, guided checks to understand where you’re at across strength, balance and movement – and what that means for your health long-term.
This includes:
Grip strength – a key indicator of overall strength and ageing
Balance screening – linked to stability and fall risk later in life
Movement and strength benchmarks – what’s typical vs where things may be declining

Because feeling like something has changed is one thing, but seeing it clearly is what helps you take action.
No pressure. No judgement.
Just a clearer understanding of where you’re at – and what to do next.

Who is this event for?

This session is designed for women aged 35-55 who:
• Are starting to notice changes in their body, energy, or strength
• Want to understand what’s normal and what’s not
• Are unsure what advice to trust
Want a clear, practical approach to staying strong and active long-term

What we will cover

Dr. Alison Palmer will bring a clinical foundation to the conversation, helping you to understand what’s actually happening through menopause and perimenopause, and what it means for your body. She’ll break down the key stages, common symptoms, and the full spectrum of management options, from lifestyle strategies like exercise, nutrition, and stress management through to medical pathways including MHT and non-hormonal treatments.

Dr. Palmer will also cover often overlooked areas like genito-urinary symptoms, PMS, and PMDD in perimenopause, and unpack the facts behind common myths. Her focus is to give you clear, evidence-based information so you can better understand and make informed decisions

Lisa will share O-health’s perspective, grounded in both her personal experience and the clinic’s philosophy of care. She’ll speak to why O-health cares so much about this, and the common pattern they see; women putting their own health last until something forces it to the forefront. Through her own journey, Lisa will highlight how difficult it can be to access clear, trustworthy information during this stage of life, and why having the right team around you makes such a difference.

Lisa will also introduce the idea of closing the gap between lifespan and healthspan, and how O-health approaches this through a combination of clinical assessment and long-term strength and movement support. Her message centers on this: looking after yourself is not selfish, it is essential.

Sam will focus on what to actually do with this information, bringing the conversation into strength, movement, and physical capacity during menopause. He’ll unpack why strength training becomes of the most important tools at this stage of life, particularly for maintaining bone density, muscle mass and long-term function.

Sam will also explain how the right type of training supports not just symptoms, but overall resilience and confidence in your body. His session will connect the dots between clinical insight and practical application, showing how structured, expert-led exercise fits into the bigger picture of long-term health.
